Marcia A. Wilson received the B.S. degree in physics from Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1974 and the M.S. degree in chemistry from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City, SD, in 1976.
She was a chemist at Hewchem in Gulfport, MI, between 1976 and 1980. Since 1980, she has been a Research Physicist with the Naval Research Laboratory, Stennis Space Center Detachment, and its predecessor laboratories. Her main research projects have been related to volume reverberation, arctic high-frequency propagation and scattering, and high-frequency environmental acoustics, with emphasis on signal processing and statistical signal analysis.
