Pim Bos received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in applied physics from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, in 1982.He joined Rijkswaterstaat in 1982, where he has worked on development, evaluation, and introduction of instrumentation. He currently works in the transport phenomena section of the Tidal Waters Division of Rijkswaterstaat. The application of acoustic backscattering techniques like current profiling has particularly received his attention.
