Kazuo Ishii was born in Japan in 1969. He received B.E. and M.E. degrees in naval architecture and ocean engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1991 and 1993, respectively. He is pursuing the Ph.D. at the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo, under the supervision of Prof. Tamaki Ura. His research interests include underwater robotics and neural networks.
