Pierre-Philippe J. Beaujean received the M.S. degree in ocean engineering from Florida Atlantic University (FAU), Boca Raton, in 1995, and the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC), France, in 1994. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in ocean engineering at FAU.

In 1995, he published a thesis on buried object detection and sediment classification using subbottom profiler sonar. In 1995, he joined the Center for Acoustics and Vibrations of FAU as a Senior Engineer and Project Coordinator. His research activities are currently focused on system design and real-time signal processing for sonar imaging of the seafloor and underwater acoustic communication.
