Dean W. Lytle (M'57) was born in Long Beach, CA. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1950, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, in 1954 and 1957, respectively.He was an Electronics Scientist at the U.S. Navy Electronics Laboratory, San Diego, CA, from 1950 to 1953. After teaching at Robert College in Istanbul, Turkey, he joined the faculty Of the University of Washington, Seattle, in 1958 where he is now a Professor of Electrical Engineering. He has been a Visiting Scientist at the Bell Telephone Laboratories, a Senior Fulbright Lecturer at the University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Duisburg, Duisburg, West Germany.
