David V. Pereira received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering in 1971 and the M.S. degree in physics in 1976 both from Southeastern Massachusetts University, North Darmaouth. He has been accepted as a Ph.D. degree candidate in the applied mathematics program at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston.Since 1980 he has been employed by the Naval Underwater Systems Center, Newport, RI, in the Combat Control Systems Department. Since joining NUSC he has served in various engineering capacities involving software, hardware, and systems development. He is currently working for the Weapon Setting and Control Branch and is involved in the research and development of advanced weapon concepts.
