Arne Solstad was born in Levanger, Norway, in 1961. He received the siv.ing.-degree (M.Sc.) in acoustics from The Norwegian University of Technology (NTH) in 1985.Since 1986 he has been with ELAB (since Jan, 1989, ELAB-RUNIT), in the Division of Telecommunications and Acoustics. His research interest includes studies of underwater sound transmission connected with the development of sonar systems and data transmission systems.
