Hee Chun Song (M'91) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in naval architecture and marine engineering in 1978 and 1980, respectively, from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, and the Ph.D. degree in ocean engineering in 1990 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge.Presently, he is a senior research scientist in the Applied Physics Laboratory at the Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute (KORDI), Seoul, Korea. His research interests are in applications of signal processing in underwater acoustics and in applying HF Doppler radar systems to measure dynamic properties of the ocean surface.
Dr. Song is an associate member of the Acoustical Society of America.
