Geoffrey S. Edelson (S'83-M'84-S'87) received the A.B. degree in mathematics from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, in 1980 and the M.S.E degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, in 1984. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI.From 1984 to 1987, he was employed in Advanced Signal Processing Systems at the Missile and Surface Radar Division of RCA in Moorestown, NJ, where he worked on the development of Algorithms for both airborne and shipboard radar signal processors. Since June 1989, he has been under contract as a Student Technical Assistant to the Manager of Basic Research at the Naval Underwater Systems Center in Newport, RI, where he has been working in the area of passive synthetic-aperture array processing. His research interests include array signal processing and spectral analysis.
