Kevin L. Williams received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees, all in physics, from Washington State University, Pullman, in 1979, 1983, and 1985, respectively.

He is presently a Senior Physicist at the Applied Physics Laboratory, University of Washington, and has worked there for seven years. Before this, he worked at the former Naval Coastal Systems Center, Panama City, FL. His primary research interests have been in the areas of high-frequency environmental acoustics and mine detection and classification.

Dr. Williams is a member of the Underwater Acoustics Technical Committee of the Acoustical Society of America.
