Thomas Schlick received the diploma in applied and neuronal physics from the University of Marburg, Marburg, Germany, in 1986.
After joining the remote sensing group at the Institute of Oceanography of the University of Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany, in 1986, he participated in the operation of UH's CODAR, and in the development and operation of WERA (WEllen RAdar). Up to now, he was involved in various marine and remote sensing projects.
