Problems/concerns with EthSerialBrickR1 4-May-2004 sib@mbari.org 1) Holes are way too small for the big wire we solder to the board 2) NPH10S footprint is wrong in terms of pin numbering 3) Get rid of all board mount-through to ethernet switch headers. It is too hard to solder the boards together. Use discrete wires instead. 4) Use a bigger isolated converter for 12V. A 20W converter would be better and leave more margin for thermal derating. 5) Up the voltage rating of the caps to 2x voltage of the rail, except capstick. 6) No copper underneath Xport case. U6 had two vias under the case in R1. 7) Move J3 (PSA916) and J6 (FastCat) holes away from XPorts. 8) Possibly extend board on the bottom side by 0.25" max. 9)
