Hi Gene,
Below you will find the location of RP20. This is the 1k§Ù
resistor-pack that you are going to want to swap out for the 33§Ù resistor-pack
that we are shipping you.

For reference purposes, the signal-mapping for RP20 on the
BitsyXb is as follows:
- RP20.A = SSP_SCLK
- RP20.B = SSP_STXD
- RP20.C = SSP_SFRM
- RP20.D = SSP_SRXD
I have placed a shipping request with our Shipping
Department for the 33§Ù resistor-pack and I am sending 3 of them just in case
there is an issue during the rework. I will send you a tracking # when they have
shipped.

Depending on what type of part is involved in the
replacement we probably have qualified technicians if we can get the appropriate
documentation. Will you be able to send something identifying which part
needs to be replaced on the Bitsy board? If so, please expedite the 33 ohm
resistor packs as soon as possible.

After speaking with our Director of Technical Services, I
have been informed that we are replacing the 1k? resistor pack with a 33?
resistor pack across all BitsyXb's.
As a result, the following options are available to you to
resolve this issue:
a. Send the board back
to Eurotech and we can replace the part with the appropriate 33? resistor
pack
b. Assuming you have
certified technicians to perform the rework, we can send you the 33? resistor
packs and you can rework them in-house
c. As we discussed on
the phone, you can remove the 1k? resistor pack, and jumper a wire across the
appropriate pins.
Please let us know how these options work for you and how
we can be of any further assistance.

I'd love to get some help with this. I've been
struggling to get the SSP working on my application with lots of little
problems. Right now the ADC boards works fine when running off its
internal SCLK. When I hook up the Xb's SCLK the data gets clocked out of
the ADC incorrectly. The data is consistent but wrong. The only
thing that changes between the two setups is a jumper on the ADC board that
selects between internal and external SCLK and the Xb SCLK instead of the
internal SCLK so we've been looking at this as the culprit.
I did a quick analysis of what happens to my SCLK with a
RC filter. The input chip on the ADC board has a 4 pF input capacitance
and if I add another 10 pF for stray capacitance and wiring and the 1K resistor,
I calculate a clock signal that looks very much like what I'm seeing on my
scope.
I was thinking about trying to use the ADC internal clock
to drive the SSP port SCLK in clock slave mode but the resistor will still
affect the signal just in the other direction. If you can provide some
help in pulling or changing the resistor pack, that would be
great.
Also, any experience or examples with high speed SSP
transfers would be greatly appreciated
