This section is only available if the SNMP feature key is installed in the Viper. Contact Dataradio for information about obtaining and installing feature keys.
Enables or disables the Forward Power Alarm. If the forward power drops 1 dB or more below the user programmed transmit power level, the Viper will send an SNMP trap (alarm) to the IP address(es) specified in the Trap IP List. When the forward power returns to within 0.8 dB of the user programmed transmit power level, the Viper will send a Forward Power Notification indicating that the power level has returned to normal.
The Trap IP List can be found on the Setup (Advanced) → IP Services web page.
Enables or disables the Reverse Power Alarm. If the reverse power increases to within 3 dB of the user programmed transmit power level, the Viper will send an SNMP trap to the IP address(es) specified in the Trap IP List. When the reverse power drops below 5 dB of the user programmed transmit power level, the Viper will send a Reverse Power Notification indicating that the reverse power level has returned to normal.
Note: The forward and reverse power levels will only update when the Viper transmits. If there is no data to send, the Viper may not transmit and the power levels will not be updated.
Enables or disables the PA Power Alarm. If the Viper's PA (power amplifier) goes into a "Foldback" or "Shutdown" state the Viper will send an SNMP trap to the IP address(es) specified in Trap IP List. When the PA returns to a "Normal" state the Viper will send a PA Power Notification indicating the PA Power state has returned to normal.
The Viper's transmitter may go into a Foldback or Shutdown state if the internal temperature is too high or if the PA is drawing excessive current. The Foldback and Shutdown states are designed to protect Viper's transmitter from permanent damage.
