Trawl Winch

Wide cheek block in center of A-frame

Deck Hydraulics for spooler
( Only needed for if Pengo has to be re/unloaded during cruise or
        old mooring with T-string is being recovered)

480VAC for Pengo

Quick release hook for deployment

Cutting torch for cutting chain during recovery.

================== Loading Plan =================================

Load pengo, anchor, floatation balls, release, bouy, supply cages,
release gear, spooler, spools, anchor plate, etc.

Need use of Elect lab for release deck box.

Deck cleat installed far enought forward so capstan can pull
lines around it.

Connect spooler (if used) to deck hydraulics.

===================== Cruise  Plan ==========================

Bouy tied down on deck athwartships in position to minimise
crane whip on pickup.   Bottom of bouy toward Stbd Side.

Anchor in stern chute.

=========================== Release and Tow Clear ========

Release old mooring and tow bouy if required.

=========================== Deployment ===================

Bouy over the Stbd Side using crane on a short whip and the
Sur quick release hook.

Deploy Nilspin from Pengo.
        9 stops to attach Inductive CTD pods.
        Verify communication with each pod prior to letting
        wire spool out.  This is estimated to add 10 minutes
        to the deployment time.

End of Nilspin
        Stop and verify operation of T-pods and measure
        characteristics of deployed cable.  Estimate 15minutes.

Attach Swivel at end of Nilspin.

Spool out nylon and polyo.

Attach Balls/Swivel/Release

Spool out anchor line.

Attach anchor

Position over drop site

Deploy anchor.

================= Recovery ============================

Come alongside bouy and attach to Trawl Winch thru center block
in A-frame.

Recover Bouy thru stern a-frame lifting with Trawl Winch

Tag from Tower to capstan via deck cleat

Bouy fast on deck.

Cut chain.

Bouy moved to Port? Side with Crane and secured.

Recovery of ADCP cage and 10 mtr cage with Pengo winch.

Transfer Nilspin below lower cage to Pengo winch.

Recover Nilspin stopping 9 times to recover T-pods.

Recover top swivel and spool onto pengo.
        (Might have to stop and remove swivel depending on it's condition)

Recover nylon and PolyO

Recover Balls/Swivel/Release
