     1. Introduction

     The GPS25PM program in the program group can accept binary phase
     data output from GPS25 XL or GPS25LP based sensor boards at 1200, 2400,
     4800, or 9600 baud.  The default settings are com1 and 9600 baud.
     The program will perform the following functions:
     - display and log phase data output by GPS sensors.
     - upload almanac, position, and time information.
     - download almanac and ephemeris information.

     The diplay page is divided into three sections.  The top-most section
     contains the following information updated once a second:  position, 
     velocity, estimated position error, track, and time.  The middle section
     contains receiver measurement information for stellites which the GPS
     sensor is currently tracking.  This information is updated once a 
     second:  satellite number, signal to noise ratio, phase, pseudo range,
     and accumulated cycles.  The bottom section contains program messages.

     GPS25PM can be invoked from a DOS prompt witht the following optional 
     parameters:  c:\garmin\sensorbd\gps25pm /com1 /b:9600 or ran from windows
     with the icon installed by the setup program.

     This file contains additions and/or corrections to the Owner's Manual
     that came with your sensor board evaluation software.  Due to the lead
     time necessary for printing a manual, some information about certain
     features of the sensor board evaluation software may not defined at
     press time.


     2. Installation Files

     The sensor board evaluation software setup file installs the following
     files:

     3. Un-Install

     To un-install the evaluation software, delete the following files
     from the user selected directory (usually C:\GARMIN\SENSORBD):

        GPSCFG   EXE   
        GPSCFG   HLP
        GPSCFG   ICO
        GPSCFG   TXT
        GPS25PM  EXE   
        GPS25PM  TXT
        GPS25PM  ICO
        NMEAVWR  EXE   
        NMEAVWR  TXT
        NMEAVWR  ICO
        TEXTTYPE ICO

     Delete any user configuration files from the user selected
     directory (usually C:\GARMIN\SENSORBD).


     If the directory is empty, it can also be deleted.

     Using the windows program manager, delete the following icons from
     the Garmin Program Group:

        NMEA VWR
        NMEA VWR NOTES
        GPSCFG
        GPSCFG NOTES
        GPS25PM
        GPS25PM NOTES

     If the Garmin Program Group is empty it can also be deleted with the
     Windows Program Manager.

     In the windows subdirectory delete the GPSCFG.INI file.



     4.  Changing the GPS25PM Communications port.

     Gps25pm is a DOS based program which can also be executed
     through the windows operating system.  The windows default
     installation is COM 1 and 9600 baud.  To change to another
     communications port:

        1.  Highlight (single click) the GPS25PM icon with the mouse.

        2.  Select the "File" and "Properties" option with the mouse (or use
        the shortcut key "ALT-ENTER").

        3.  Select the "Command Line" option with the mouse,  hit the "END"
        key and change the com port number to the desired configuration.
