Summary:
- We will try to hold two 1-hour meetings next week with MBARI scientists
- The purpose of these meetings is discuss and understand
  - The major scientific questions of interest at MBARI
  - What are the existing and needed experiments and measurements 
    - Not technology widgets needed
  - What are the existing and emerging platforms technologies/capabilities
  - How we would like to structure our future interactions

Benthic Rover

 -long/short term deployment optimizations
 -propulsion/buoyancy engines
 -fast/slow profile speed (fine/coarse profiles)

  - AUVs (McEwan, Zhang)
  - Profilers (Hamilton)
  - Moorings and Novel Platforms (Chaffey, Mellinger)

  These lists are not expected to be exhaustive, but each should include:
  - Current state of the art
  - Activities at MBARI
  - Emerging technologies
