**The References folder is intended to capture the background information and other items of interest to the project**. 

Note: This is an optional folder but is often very useful particularly when others in the field are working on similar projects.  Example: AUVs have lots of people involved around the world and this is where links, articles, or other "reference" information would be placed. Sub-folders can useful depending on the nature of the project and technology.
