It is a calculated data graph in datasheet. In case of Trench gate medium voltage MOSFET, they have some weakness compared to Planar MOSFET as your comment. But, this product is not Trench gate tech. It is Planar tech. Normally, Planar MOS's SOA performance is similar to the calculated one. But I will make a clear information. And I will do the test under your condition, 20V & 10ms. After the test, let you know the test result. Thanks. Has the HUF75345 FBSOA (Fig 5 in data sheet) been derated for thermal runaway and hot-spotting? I am designing a current limiter that will require operation at 20V and 20A, simultaneously, for several milliseconds.
