RELEASE NOTES FOR CIP-E 4.2

*****  IMPORTANT  ********

For UPGRADES ONLY
	• You will need to check which version of CIP-E is currently installed.
	• If the version is not 4.001.XXXX, then you will need to upgrade to CIP-E V4.1. 

	CONTACT Update@ema-eda.com to obtain older version of CIP-E.


If you are upgrading, before you start -

   * Create a backup of your database. 
   * If you have changed any of the files in the CIP/CIP-E install directory, 
     you should rename them (e.g. append “_old” to filenames) so the upgrade 
     can proceed without overwriting anything. This will also ensure that all 
     required files are copied during the upgrade.
   * If you have changed the database in any way, do not proceed with the upgrade
     and contact Techsupport@ema-eda.com. This includes changes to the database 
     name, addition/deletion/modification to DB tables, fields or built-in user 
     or password.

Databases Changes -

To 4.2 - Added Arrow Distributor Fields. 
To 4.1 - Added Mouser Distributor Fields. Removed field, "ModifiedBy" from each Component Table.
To 4.0 - Added tables and fields to support history and saved search features. Added
         Future Electronics Distributor fields.
To 3.1 - Added fields to support Premier Farnell Distributor. Removed LP Viewer field
To 3.0 - Added fields to support Newark Distributor
To 2.2 - Deleted the following fields from the individual component tables and moved 
         to a common Manufacturer Info data table

New Features / Enhancements for CIP-E
-----------------------------------------------------------

     1. Arrow Electronics has been added to the Distributor Search Tab. Parts 
        from the Arrow Electronics database can be retrieved and added to your database. 

     2. Order of Part Number pull-down list can be configured by an administrator for 
        ascending or descending order through Preferences in the Administrator tab.

     3. CSV file formats can be configured by an administrator to use semicolon as the 
        delimiter to support some international formats through Preferences in the 
        Administrator tab.

     4. Distributor sync allows distributors to be synchronized individually.

     5. Formal Part Numbers of Assigned Temp Parts can be viewed in the Temp
        Parts Tab.

Licensing and Upgrade information
-----------------------------------------------------------
 
CIP-E and CIP 4.2 require a 4.0 license. If you do not have a license 
authorizing the use of version 4.2, contact your local representative 
for assistance.

CIP-E will only upgrade from CIP-E 4.001.xxxx. If you are on a prior 
version of CIP-E, you will need to upgrade to CIP-E 4.001.xxxx first.

Bugs fixed in this release

   1. Temp part does not display correct part. Bug#13084
   2. Create New User clears all fields when password doesn't meet requirement. Bug#12904
   3. CIP should not allow saving of formal parts as previously used TMP part 
      numbers. Bug#13159
