Dear Mr. Terava,

I would like to invite any of your representatives to visit
our facilities at the Institute. If I know when they will be 
visiting and for how long I can also arrange a day trip with
our current submersible on a science dive. This is dependent
on the Scientists approval and ships schedule, so please let 
me know soon and it will not be a problem to arrange.

As for the solution we have chosen, I can go into greater 
detail with your team that visits but the basic concept is
to use an oil over water intensifier. This is powered by a 
very small gear pump and resevoir. The intensifier is just a 
double ended hydraulic cylinder with check valves. The 
components themselves are very cheap, but we are spending 
alot of our budget to prove that it will work at depth. I
agree that it has more risk than a proven design but the
engineering calculations and experience with similar items
in high pressure water cutting show the components to be
very robust and tolerable to cavitation. There are other 
extras that fall out of this concept, although not
required the extras will bring benefits to our 
vehicles general operation. As an Institute this seemed like 
the kind of risk we should be taking so that others can 
benefit once we are succesful.

with our engineering and science staff and I am hopeful to
work with your group either on this project or something in
the future.
