Deep ESP/DWSM

  •  Looks like all errors on the first MARS deployment were due to a loose set screw on the motor gear that rotated the carousel.  This is easily repaired, and there was much discussion on how to fix in the future.  Immediate solution (short of welding gear onto motor shaft) is to machine larger slot in base to allow movement testing of gear tightness, and calibrate hand and carousel from both directions.
  • New temp sensor has pigtails and now has been dipped in conformal coating for x-tra protection.  We should test to see how well coating works.
  • O-Ring groove.  We will NOT do it for Gordon, but begin the design/machining/testing process, using Betty.  We will calibrate her first without the mod, then after the 14th deployment add the change and compare calibration numbers.
