Machine Builds
- Cores/MFB's:
- MFB #4 and #5 had wrong firmware which was causing the sticky syringes.
- RE: Monika having problem w/ re-setting of valve. Issue was that stand-alone software configuration had burkert positions opposite those of the integrated configuration. Now fixed.
- During cold testing of MOE, found that puck thermal sensor was corroded. Changing and recalibrating a new one is a nightmare; Cheri/Scott to work on building a jig that allows 'precalibration' of the finger sensor boards.
- Julie noticed that forearm not acting reliably--seems to be electrical connection cheri will fix.
- Must re-machine hand armature for new home sensor placement.
- Board boxes are here that we will use to send core board-set to McLane for their EPA build.
MFB
- Brent has been wrestling with a firmware issue related to the PCR modules using a serial connection, and their inability to acknowledge recpt of an abort message. There is a relatively easy band aid if, using his serial port analyzer, Brent can't think of a better solution.
Drifter
Software
- Brent's firmware that runs motors is going very well.
- Noticed that his DWSM code has all polarities reversed because wiring in DWSM is reversed. We will keep the software intuitive and fix DWSM wiring ; Scott to check out what this entails.
Deep ESP/DWSM
- High-pressure pump is finished and has been run at 200(?--low) pressure. Both bell housings are apart, and we will wait to put the tops back on until new transducers arrive Aug 24. PISSer should be ready for use with DWSM by end of week.
- Minor problem with blue oil bag; fitting broke inside; Doug will look at. Now using a bucket as the oil reservoir.
- All parts here for heater ring inside ball; Doug to hand-off to Jose.
- Sphere insulation is cut, but not installed. Doug to do.
GUI
- GUI branch is running today (Chris P), and generating log data for Kevin to play with.
Deployment Issues
- Sept 24 triple deployment. Moe at M0, Bruce at Santa Cruz, and Mack in 16m of water only 5-7m deep. Will needto adjust mooring for that one.
- Sep 30 is MARS. Brent has to give talk that evening so may not be on ship unless guaranteed to be back early.
Other Items
- LabAutomation meeting in Palm Spring Jan 23-27, 2010. Must select who can/wants to go.
- R&D 100 award banquet Nov 17. Still working out logistics on who will go.
