Machine Builds

• Harmonic drives in and Cheri working on switching them out
• McLane making progress on MFB's after I2C issue last week.

MFB

• #1 is on NEO.  #3 is on Moe.  Just Received #4.  All are running firmware version 4.03.  Also rec'd our fourth module (labeled #5).
• Tony Makarewicz leaving LLNL tomorrow, May 8.

Drifter

• May 13 dive day moved to October; First drifter dive is Monday, May 18. it will consist of Chris S., Gene, Scott, Jim.
• will use the E/M cable, but with a sealed end and a RR rail piece as the weight.
• Code is still in rudimentary stage.  Gene would like someone to ask Linux/ C++ questions of if he needs.  Kevin/Danelle/Brian K were volunteered.
• Hope to get in test tank by end of next week.
• Chris S. will fill out pre-cruise
• ppp connection has not been worked on for a week.  Brent will provide Pete with cheat sheet and freewave manual to help him get started on the configuration.

Software

• Gordon will NOT get modified ethernet driver.  Deployments will not be long enough to warrant the power savings by changing the hub in the sphere, and Wayne is not here to help with the driver change.
• Code currently resides on Neo branch, Main branch, and GUI branch.  Much disucssion on when to merge;  on Gordon in lab tests we'll use GUI branch.  After June cruise we will merge GUI line with main line and run checkout on Gordon then.
• Wireless comms.  Decision is to use Freewave's to communicate wirelessly with the sphere.  This requires a MINK connector/fitting; Scott will scrounge up/buy.

Deep ESP

• Wand/valve tree.  Doug can only get SS valves.  He using some that Cheri has.  They need minor modifications to be oil-compensated.
• Cables for valve tree have been ordered; should be here in 2 weeks
• 50' of cable for wand delivery
• Some discussion of tubing needed for wand, but a McMaster item so little lead-time.
• Wand stand still to be designed.  Most likely will be something like a microphone stand.
• Doug has plans for a sectional bumper design for Oregon cruise.
• DWSM restarted and all switches worked.  Doug and Brent to meet after to find out what might have gone wrong.

GUI
