Machine Builds
- Two new cores are being kitted by Cheri.
- Syringe and rotary valve parts were inadvertently left off original (July) El Camino order. Mike P. pushing those through and should be ready by Jan 23.
- Discussion on McLane visit for core builds. Decided to have them reserve 2 weeks; Feb 8 and Feb 22. If they really work the first week, maybe stay longer and make it just one trip out.
- Cheri has drawing of new harmonic drive mount. We need it manufactured. Will talk to Mark Brown about getting some (Non-Mike Parker) help.
- Cold syringe testing. Not finished. Deadline is when we put a core in the sphere (late March).
- Next two Sleepy core boards need names. Cheri will spearhead that effort.
- Pucks. Chris S. wants to revisit high-volume puck issue and the machining of scintered frits. Several solutions batted around. Chris will look for HV pucks and we will discuss next week.
- We will integrate MFB01 with Moe the week of Feb 1.
- Scott tyring to get a workable ORCAD part number scheme to keep track of our wiring harnesses. Working on this with Jose.
- MOE is the CMORE/Moore/NSF machine that will go to Zehr lab and run in surface waters at M0.
- Who goes into sphere? Initial tests do not require PCR, so Mack or Bruce could do it.
- In June we could put NEO in sphere--must decide thi in April.
MFB
- Cheri will work on kitting up the 7 MFB's for the McLane build. She should be able to ship them by first week in Feb. Chris will call and give them a heads up to expect the kits.
- Some question as to whether we cut tubing, or Mclane does it. Has that been included in their $4500/each quote?
Software
- CTD bug. still a longstanding bug. Brent given problem to Bob Herlien, who know says he doesn't have time to work on it. Brent thinks he'll need 3-5 days. Jim to check to see if he can even do it.
- Bufflehead is moving to the lab to give Brent some more space in his office.
- NEO--running old Ruby code with newly patched Ruby compliler. Moe has latest Ruby with same newly patched compiler.
- Decision to keep NEO it's own little old island of code, but upgrading ~1mo before it may be deployed. This will allow Chris P. to continue with MFB work without changing anything (or having anything break).
- Wayne has all CPLD code cleaned up and into CVS. He's also built many more test benches. Monday will be picking up on MSP430 software development.

DWSM
Sphere
- All connectors are in for the sphere. We will move it to Bellingham AUV lab Monday for install. Plan is still to get it shipped to SRI late next week.
- Decision is to ship it disassembled.
Elevator
- Mike Parker waiting for solidmodel from Doug. Will send today.
- Currently, elevator has no legs. Doug has designed 6 8" standing legs, and 3 adjustable legs for ocean bottom landings.
- Adjustable legs being designed for up to 20 degree slope.
- Jim will talk to Mark Brown about getting Mike Conway help on drop-weight design.
DWSM
- Mechanically, DWSM is 95% complete.
- Software interface still needs design and many electrical connectors/cables to order. Brent and Scott are on it. They will meet with Doug to create config file that is usable for testing.
- Cable connection; we need a short one to connect to ROV, longer (80m?) to connect to MARS. Craig Dawe may be able ot help with this; connectors have long lead time. Scott to talk to Craig, Jim to Etchemendy.
GUI Development
- no developmentts reported
Other Items:
- Next week will have two off-line mtgs:
- Scott, Brent, Jim, Chris, and Gene to discuss drifter integration
- Brent, Jim, Chris, and Kevin G. to discuss GUI development
