Present: Scott, Doug, Chris S., Kevin, Jim, Cheri, Brent, Wayne
Absent: Addie (SolidWorks training)
Machine Builds
- Scott wants to change power connectors on our 3 surface cans; current ones are starting to break. Total of $4K. Yes, we will do--charging to 900612.
- Moe finished with pressure calibration. Fluid has been moved through the core. All that's left is temperature calibration (cold, room, hot) which should take 2 days.
- We must add 'light puck checkout' to our checkout procedure to help understand camera variability.
- must change O-ring material--cracks discovered on Moe's o-rings, where no fluids have been run. Will go to Viton or Silicon.
MFB
- Writing schematic for MFB is turning out to be more difficult than first thought because of prior documentation. Scott working to fix the mess.
- MFB valve problem that stopped our dye testing yesterday turns out to be a wrong valve assignment. Unclear how assigment got changed, but Scott to track down.
- Jim will talk to Jose about having parts ready for Addie's McLane build. Jose gone the month of December, and we need 2 wiring harnesses, 2 voltage regulators, 1 I2C power board before he leaves.
- Question came up as to how close the grill is for niave user (Kendra) to start pushing fluids and do a basic checkout. Must call Addie.
Software
- Debugging on Neo is running, but so far no problems. It is running all contextual sensors, but one difference with deployment is that is running on the network, not locally. Reason for this was....
- Also, small change to the Ruby interpreter was installed that now releases dead stacks, so it doesn't try to chase any dead references. This may have fixed our problem.
- All NEO software will be merged back in the main trunk, which may cause problems for Bruce and Mack. Since these two are going to be run hard, Brent should check with Chris before this merger takes place.
- Scott has plan for using himself and Wayne to set-up a Dwarf Gateway in early December when Wayne returns from India.
DWSM
Sphere
- Spheres are finished at Tapemation (YEAH!!), and we will ship back to Wah Chang for dye testing. Dye testing =$500 total. Unknown shipping costs.
- Titanium vs. SS sphere fastners. We discussed; TI=$1800, SS = $200 but will need to be replaced. We will buy TI.
- Min-K's to arrive Dec. 15
- As soon as dye tests finished we will schedule a Port Hueneme pressure test.
- Syntactic foam to arrive by Jan 1-2nd. We will need to send foam out for machining.
DWSM
- Sample can is ready for valve actuators and motors+pumps.
- Resample can is still waiting mounting parts, but then just needs tubing bends; pumps already mounted
- 1st week of Dec is when we can start running it.
- Doug wants to purchase some extra motors since we have 0 (zero) extra's currently
- Doug will get r-valve boards and actuator mounts from Addie Monday or Tuesday next week.
GUI Development
- Data import now working in the GUI
- Now it is not necessary to parse through the log files . Still some minor bugs to work through, but Kevin will meet with Brent about this.
Other Items:
- Scott will run next week's meeting in Jim's absence.
- Scott wants to clean GG of all fluid so he can run a -5C test with EtOH to check the new 'cold' syringes. Scholin to confer with his team about cleaning GG.
- Will need to purchase 12 sets of batteries for elevator (~$40K)
- WE MUST START THINKING ABOUT ORDERING MORE PUCKS for the NEW MACHINES.
- Ship Schedule: currently working of Revision 1. Much discussion about moving Aug6 day to sometime in April. We will finalize this move next week.
