Instrument Builds

• Decision to make NEO the PCR machine, as Moe will not be ready in time.  Cheri is working on converting Moe to make it PCR-enabled.
• Must remember that Mack and Bruce are still using back-side puck temp sensors. Neo has been changed to front, as should these two eventually.

MFB

• Brent commented that much code has been checked in, but not OUT, so still lots of integration needed.
• Changing the SPE column has successfully knocked down the signal on the negative runs.
• Addie continues to build the grill; waiting on ball screw and syringe pieces from Mike
• Check valves have arrived.  Idea is to reduced back-flow from pressure difference flows; this may be a big change in scripts and build, so tabling this change now. 

Software

• New firmware is working, but still needs minor amount of testing.  Intended to install on Moe (w/PCR), but now decision is NO FIRMWARE changes until DWSM comes online.
• Brent looking into 2 ESP's at M0 w/ only 1 shore radio.
• GUI Development
  • need to assess 2009 needs
  • Will mt with Kevin, Rich Schramm, Jim B, Chris S., Brent
• Scoping of S. Cal Piers still in planning stage.

Other Items

• Chris S. asked about building a 3rd surface mooring.  Will talk to Mark Brown.  Idea is to have 2 machines at M0, 1 at Santa Cruz.  Jim looked into this and it is possible.  Jim Scholfield will work on starting July 22.
• McLane visits next week (Wed/Thurs).  Weds will be tech discussion, Thursday will be business discussion.
• SFWD rep (Mike Casteel) visits today to discuss collaboration of ESP in SF municipal water monitoring.
