Machine Builds
- Bruce has been run a lot and can't reproduce the processing error
- Seems to be an accumulation of something in the software (27May-
happening on Neo during deployment-more evidence it's software and not dwarf) - HANDS
- Gordon's goes at 50% force (old ones worked at 30%)
- Betty taking 70% but with new frame works better than Gordon.
MFB
Drifter
- Test tank tomorrow (Friday).
- Dive days moved to 27 and 28 next week. Likely will only use the 27th.
- There will be no tension control on winch for June dive.
- Pressure transducer and moxa need mounting on lid
- need fitting and adaptor using power port on lid
- Mike P to make bracket for MOXA
- Roman to move mooring to high bay; Jim to get Ken Smith batteries
- Gene wants ESP 100lbs negative. Will work with Mike to accomplish.
- BRUCE is going in drifter
Software
Deep ESP
- Wand; don't have cables long enough for long wand assembly. Cables arrive 29th (too late)
- Will shoot for a 3' stubby. Code still to be developed
- TSV--needed tightening
- CPLD code works but needs testing
- Mink is soldered and waiting for modem before potting.
- D-ESP cleaning
- Doug has two 4" sections that can't be cleaned with toxicant. So idea is to add a filter puck taht we push tox through the core to clean both those lines in DWSM, then go to next SH1 run.
GUI
- Will be loaded on Gordon and Betty for beta testing.
Deployment Issues
For June:
- Mack in sphere
- Bruce in Drifter

* If the code needs to be tweeked to use the V2 ctd or one surface ESP will not have a CTD
* we need larger battery pack for ISUS to get high density sampling endurance
* need to get dry and wet weight of drifter base before I put it back to standard
* ESP and Iridium batteries
Other Items:
- need loaner computer from IS for summer student (Cheri will put in request with IS for what we need)
Here is the schedule for the next two weeks:
- 09may27=> There is water in one of the floats on the bail of the base used for the drifter. Need to check and drain before a shallow deployment of that base.
