Tech Transfer

  • Cheri has started putting orders in for CMORE core we're building
  • MACK doing first post-rebagging runs. QCing reagents today. If good, we'll load with pucks
  • BRUCE: will start today with qualifying assay runs. Going in cold MAY 5. Will use GG's lid.
  • NEO: has all new valves. Positioning needs verification.
  • hand needs finishing, swapping, and calibration
  • Neo goes in cold room MAY 12. Will use new lid.

Deployment

  • Bail is being modified with weld so divers don't need to strap it on launch/recovery
  • ISUS needs refurbishing-has been left with Luke who will do it early next week
  • Monday Scott to work with Jose to refurbish battery pack (will be using a new one); for the 19 day deployemnt we used ~1/2 the battery pack. Probably get 6 weeks from full pack.
  • Mike notified about diver needs
  • Zephyr on Thursday @ 7am, leave @ 8am.  Deployment team still to be determined.

MFB

  • New block from LLNL arrived this week. Several scripting changes have been implemented which have helped stop killing our probe label. We have run slugs on old and new blocks, and gotten very nice endpoint results. Gels still to be run.
  • Backgrounds on the two optical channels still are high (with water, 1630-1700 depending on channel).
  • Need to find new heater vendor; Addie working on this
  • Solid Phase extraction columns. Order approved, but building it becoming a problem. Addie trying to track down our original manufacturer.
  • Must check with Mike Parker to see how his tombstone design on Moe is coming along.

Software

  • NEO - firmware and Linux host needs updating
  • MACK - needs Ruby with email notification. Brent will change and then exercise it through some mini-missions

Sphere and 4K DWSMS

*Must pull together a deployment plan for the Lobos and DWSM as there are still big holes in the DWSM plan.

  • Mtg scheduled for April 30.
  • Scott has gotten one of the brushed motors to work off the dwarf (GOOD NEWS) so we can drive high power things directly from dwarfs. Discussion to these benefits/logistics to be taken offline.

GUI Development

  • The deployment GUI has been used for two deployments, and Kevin continues to get feedback and tweak it with each subsequent deployment.
