Doug on vacation July 14-July 28.
present: Jim, Brent, Scott, Addie, Chris S., Wayne
absent: Doug, Cheri
Instrument Builds
- South Carolina person here August 20-29 to run Mack & Bruce.
- Brent has found that the front and back puck sensors respond differently to changes in ambient temp (front 19-26%; back 30% of ambient). Thus we should recalibrate to the front sensor, a change that should be transparent to the user.
- 11:00am Monday (7-28). Brent, Addie, Cheri, Wayne meeting to discuss integrating MFB with NEO
- Scott will spearhead effort to get 3 new radio boxes built
MFB
- all pieces from shop should be here by today (except SPE block)
- Jose working on wiring harness
- Must makesure tombstone works with latest Ruby code, then can begin integration. Addie/Brent will work on this separate from above meeting.
Software
- DWSM software is very close to being ready to test
- TUESDAY--Brent/Scott/Wayne are going to pick a part, and populate rev.1 dwarves to test wether 2nd gen of I2C buses are less 'funky' than gen 1.
- WED.--Gomes/Schramm/Roman/Scholin/Birch meeting to discuss GUI needs next year. For discussion: machine state, mission scripting, data parsing.
- Wayne having great difficulty pulling base C code in order to use new compiler. Much work to reduce errors, but he will continue looking into depth of problem.
- Brent waiting to hear from our potential antenna candidate site; if no word by next Thursday, we move to a yet-to-be-determined plan B.
Other Items
- Of all issues on Brent's 'to-do' list after last deployment, only three remain:
- why did radio link quality decrease?
- did RS232 CTS handshake line to radio modem fail?
- failed email messages are not queued for later retransmission.
