Tech Transfer

• Although only calibrated to room temperature, Neo is ready to make lysate.  After a positive result, will run DA tests, then remove those reagents and finish cold and hot calibrations.  Then give to science for exercise.
• Moe: waiting on boards, motors, and machined parts.  Scott pushing to have boards finished by early July.
• Must determine where AIV valve will go when merging MFB on Moe core, and update solid model (To Do: Addie/Cheri/Scott/Chris S)

MFB

• Despite repeated failures of the MFB, Chris S. states, "we are homing in on it...
• cc Addie any emails from LLNL
• Must address changing of power supply of heater/MFB/extraction (Action:  Addie & Scott)
• Next week will move MFB to Bldg A lab and then run stink-water T/W/Th after Chris P returns from Microbiology mtg.

Software

• Mack's hand has stuck twice during the current deployment (now on day 8) and Brent thinks it's getting worse. 
• Must get more people on the beeper system, and he will train Cheri & Scott how to fix.
• Brent will stay on Kevin about GUI development, though next deployment is in Fall.

DWSM

• CDR will be 10am Tuesday, June 10.  Will invite same people that came to PDR.  Jim will get room.

Other Items

• Laid out and discussed plans for 2009.  Plans concentrated in 4 areas:
  • development of 4K system, culminating in cruise to Axial seamount in Q3.
  • bench testing of MFB/PCR either here or in S. Cal as part of the EPA epidemiological study.
  • pier deployments in S. Cal for water quality
  • drifter study culminating in HI deployment, again in Q3
