About Eione

Important Eione is aliased with the CNAME dsg.mbari.org

Eione is a linux VM whose sole purpose is to host an apache web server and a tomcat application server in the DMZ. It's hostname is actually eione.mbari.org. Content for Eione should be placed in /var/www/website, which is pretty much the only directory non-root users can write to. The following directories are of special interest:

/var/www/website/frameGrabs

This directory contains water-marked annotation images. All non-embargoed images are watermarked and copied here.

/var/www/website/images/dsg

This is a symlink to /mbari/dsg/kbimages which, in-turn, is the share \\Atlas\VideoLab\VARS_Images mounted on Eione.

Tomcat and the Deep Sea Guide
