Multiple Mastercam Data Streams Found dialog box

Use the Multiple Mastercam Data Streams Found dialog box displays when you open a SOLIDWORKS file that contains data from multiple versions of Mastercam. Mastercam 2026.R2 will save the stream that you select here and purges data streams from all other versions from the file.

User Types

The table in this dialog box not only displays data streams from different versions of Mastercam, but also data created by industrial or educational users. You can select any data stream that is compatible with your version of Mastercam. However, Mastercam will only save the data to the version and user type that you are running. Data streams that differ only by user type are not purged from the file.

Examples

The following examples illustrate what happens when you open a part with different data streams.

  • You will only have access to industrial data streams.
  • If you select the 2018 stream, it will be saved to the current version of Mastercam.
  • The 2017 stream will be purged.
  • The Educational stream will remain in your part, unchanged.

  • You will have access to all data streams.
  • If you select the 2018 Industrial stream, it will be saved to the current version of Mastercam and to your current user type (Educational).
  • The 2017 stream will be purged.
  • The other Educational stream will remain in your part, unchanged.
