Auto Highlighting

Mastercam's Auto Highlighting feature speeds and simplifies entity selection by dynamically highlighting the entity under your cursor before you actually select it.

By default, Auto Highlighting is turned on.

Auto Highlighting is also able to highlight faces on the back of the part when you set your selection method to Select from back. In translucent view mode, you can see that Mastercam automatically highlights the face on the back of the model.

To permanently (until you manually change it back) turn Auto Highlighting on or off follow these steps:

  1. Choose File, Configuration to open the System Configuration dialog box.
  2. Navigate to the Selection property page.

  3. Select or deselect the Auto-highlight choices as shown below.

  4. Click OK to save your changes and exit the dialog box.
