Metafile
Use this Add-In to save the contents of the graphics window to a Microsoft Enhanced Metafile (.emf) graphic. Unlike conventional screen capture images, .emf files are vector images instead of bit-map images. The captured image includes part geometry, visible toolpaths, and the status indicators at the bottom of the screen, on a white background.
After you start the Add-In, it prompts you to enter a name and location for the .emf file. (The default folder is C:\Users\<username>\My Documents\My Mastercam 2026.R2\Mastercam\data.) Set your zoom, Gview, and other window settings before running the Add-In.
- You can insert an .emf file as a floatable, black-and-white picture into many standard applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
- You may find that shrinking the size of the Mastercam window improves the clarity of the .emf file output. Typically, shrinking the size of the screen image before capturing it produces better results than resizing the image after capturing it.
