Rev2Rev Add-In
Use the Rev2Rev Add-In to convert a single surface to a new surface with patches that you specify in U and V instead of chordal deviation. This is useful for reverse engineered surfaces, such as those made from a scanning or digitizing process. Surfaces such as these typically have a very large number of patches and some noise. This Add-In can drastically reduce the number of patches and noise.
After you start the Add-In, it prompts you to select the surface. Then, enter the number of patches in U and V. Click OK and Mastercam asks if you want to delete the original surface. Mastercam creates a new surface on the active level in the current color.
The original surface must be untrimmed and not offset.
