Analyze Curvature dialog box
Use the Analyze Curvature dialog box to analyze curves in surfaces and/or solids. Choose which curves you would like to identify and how you would like the function to display them. Then click Regenerate the display to start the function. Based on your settings, the function shades the model with colors that you specify for each type of curvature. As long as the dialog box remains open, the model reflects any changes you make to your settings.
Speed/Precision
Controls the tolerance used to calculate surface and solid shading. A smaller value results in smoother and more precise shading but can increase processing time. Use the slider control or manually enter a value into the field to change this setting. After changing the tolerance, you must the Regenerate the display to see the results.
Regenerate the display
Click to regenerate the model based on the settings you enter into this dialog box.
Radius less than
When selected, uses the specified color to shade areas in the model where the curvature of the model is less than the value in the entry field.
Display only internal radii
When selected, shades all curved areas of the model that are internal from the perspective of the reference plane and less than the value entered in the Radius less than setting.
Reference plane
Choose a view from the drop-down menu to establish the source of the function's calculations when it determines internal radii.
Minimum
When selected, uses the specified color to shade the smallest curved area of the model.
Flat
When selected, uses the specified color to shade areas of the model with no curvature.
Remainder
When selected, uses the specified color to shade areas of the model that are not already shaded by other settings in this dialog box. Use as a contrast to other settings.
Minimum detected
Read-only. Displays the value of the model's smallest radius or draft angle.
Maximum detected
Read-only. Displays the value of the model's largest radius or draft angle.
