Witness Properties dialog box
Use the Witness Properties dialog box to view and edit the startpoint and endpoint positions (XYZ coordinates) of the selected (freestanding) witness line entity. You can also edit the level, color, and line width entity attributes.
Parameters
View
Read-only. Displays the database view number associated with the selected entity.
Reposition
Returns you to the graphics window to enter a point whose XYZ coordinates will be used to reposition the corresponding point (startpoint or endpoint) of the witness line. Mastercam enters the new XYZ coordinates in the appropriate text boxes. You can also use the XYZ coordinate text boxes to reposition the witness line. The left button repositions the startpoint. The right button repositions the endpoint. The startpoint is the first point defined for the witness line when it was created. The endpoint is the second point defined for the witness line when it was created.
X / Y / Z Coordinates
Displays and sets the XYZ coordinates of the corresponding point (startpoint or endpoint) of the witness line. To change a coordinate, enter a different value in the appropriate text box. You can also select new witness line coordinates in the graphics window by choosing the appropriate (startpoint or endpoint) reposition button just above the X coordinate text box for the position. The XYZ coordinates in the left column define the startpoint. The XYZ coordinates in the right column define the endpoint. The startpoint is the first point defined for the witness line when it was created. The endpoint is the second point defined for the witness line when it was created.
Level
Displays the Levels Manager in which you can assign a new level to the selected entity.
Color
Displays the Colors dialog box in which you can assign a new color to the selected entity.
Width
Select a new line width from the drop-down.
Propagate
Only available when multiple entities are selected or when attributes are changed. Applies attribute changes to all selected entities.
