Tailstock dialog box
Use the Tailstock dialog box to manually create tailstock operations. You can choose from a list of actions that includes the following:
- Load Center tool
- Unload Center tool
- Tailstock Retract
- Tailstock Advance
- Quill Retract
- Quill Advance
- Move to stock clearance
- Linear position
Parameters
Tool window
Shows the selected tools. Right-click to access commands for creating and editing centers, displaying the Tool Manager, loading a tool on a machine, and more.
Type
This is the action to be performed by the operation.
Data stream
This is the data stream that is associated with the operation.
Position
This is the position to which to move the tailstock.
Motion
The type of motion to use when moving the tailstock to the specified position.
Comment
Enter a comment for the operation. This comment appears in the operation description in Toolpaths Manager.
Show library tools
Adds all the tools in the current tool library to the tool display window.
Select library tool
Opens the Tool Selection dialog box so that you can select a tool from a tool library, or select a different tool library. When you use this feature to select a tool, Mastercam copies the tool definition to the current machine group so that it will be saved with the part.
