Groups (Nesting)
A nesting group is a collection of parts that form a complete set, like the parts of a table or cabinet.
Groups consist of individual parts, each with its own quantity. Groups do not maintain a spatial relationship between the parts like clusters do. Rather, putting parts into groups ensures that Mastercam creates the number of parts you need in a collection so that unneeded spare parts are not created. Clusters cannot be added to groups.
Once you create a group, double-click it to rename it.
The Minimum Qty specified in the Parts tab becomes disabled once a part is added to a group.
