Groups Manager dialog box
Use the Groups Manager dialog box to:
- Create, modify, and delete entity groups and subgroups
- Select a group prior to performing a function
- View only entities in a selected group
- Specify color attributes for a selected group
A number of functions temporarily minimize the Groups Manager dialog box and position the cursor in the graphics window. This allows you to use general selection techniques to select entities. To reopen the Groups Manager dialog box, press [Enter] or choose an end selection function from the Selection Bar.
When you select a group from the group list, the entities in that group are highlighted in the graphics window.

Creates a subgroup when you assign the selected group to a parent group. Subgroups provide an additional layer of data management.
- A subgroup can belong to only one parent group.
- A subgroup cannot be a parent group to another subgroup.
- A subgroup requires a unique name, different from any existing parent group and subgroup.
