Update Plane dialog box
The Update Plane dialog box displays when assigning or changing the toolpath's work offset. Choose one of the options to control how Mastercam updates the plane for the toolpath's tool plane when processing the change to the operation's work offset. The operations affected by the change are shown in the operations list. The dialog box lists how many operations will have their work offset changed when you click OK.
If you click cancel, no work offset changes are applied.
- Update the plane and all operations that use this plane: Updates the plane with the new work offset number and updates all operations that share this tool plane in the part file with the new offset number. The updated operations are marked dirty in the Toolpaths Manager, requiring you to regenerate them with the new parameters.
- Create a copy of the plane and update just this operation: Creates a new plane from the current plane and assigns the new plane as the operation's tool plane. When naming the new plane, Mastercam adds a COPY OF prefix to the original plane name. For example, if the original tool plane was TOP, the new tool plane is COPY OF TOP.
- Update just this operation without changing the plane: The plane is not modified. Mastercam changes only the work offset value for the operation.
- Don't show this warning again: Select to save the current control option and automatically use it for future instances of the dialog box.
