Point Segment panel
Use the Point Segment function to create multiple points along an existing entity or chain according to the value you enter in the Distance or Number field.
How does Mastercam determine where to place the points?
- If you enter a value in the Number field, Mastercam always places the points on the selected entity's endpoints. However, if you enter a value in the Distance field, there may be no points at either endpoint.
- When using a Distance value, Mastercam creates a point at the endpoint closest to where you clicked the entity. From there, Mastercam will create points along the entity at multiples of the distance.
