Zip2Go Extract dialog box

Use the Zip2Go Extract dialog box to extract files from Zip2Go files. This command is available only after you have opened the Zip2Go file in the main Zip2Go window.

Select the folder to receive the files. You can select a folder from the list displayed in the dialog box, type a path in the Extract to field, or click Create new folder to create a new folder.

Use the radio buttons in the Files area to choose the files to extract.

  • Selected files/folders: Extracts only files that you have selected in the main Zip2Go window.
  • All files/folders: Extract all files in the open Zip2Go file.
  • Files: Enter file names to extract specific files. (You can use standard Windows wild cards.)

When files with the same name exist in the folder you are extracting to, select the checkboxes at the lower right of the dialog box to:

  • Overwrite existing files without prompting: If this checkbox is not selected, files with the same name as existing files will not be extracted.
  • Skip older files: Check this box to skip (not extract) files from the Zip2Go file that were created prior to the files with the same name in the destination folder.
  • Select the Use folder names checkbox to preserve the folder names (paths) in the current Zip2Go file. When this option is checked, Zip2Go recreates the folder structure of the Zip2Go file within the folder you selected to receive the files. When this option is not checked, Zip2Go extracts all files to the folder you selected to receive the files, regardless of their folder locations in the Zip2Go file.
