Display Options dialog box

Use the Display Options dialog box to control the displayed information for each operation and machine properties item in Toolpaths Manager. Select any combination of display options by checking those that you want to enable.

In addition, you can enable or disable the prompt to confirm toolpath deletions.

NOTE
  • If no display options are selected, you can still edit each part of the operation by clicking the remaining icon.
  • Group names are always visible.
  • Display options remain fixed until you change them through this dialog box, even if you close and reopen Mastercam.

Operation type

Displays the operation type.

Machine

Display the machine name next to Properties.

List numbers

Displays numbers next to each operation.

Internal operation ID

Displays an internal identification number for each operation. This is primarily used in your post and is therefore not displayed by default.

WCS

Displays the name of the Work Coordinate System (WCS).

Tool plane

Displays the name of the tool plane.

Comp/construction plane

Displays the name of the construction plane.

Operation comments

Displays the operation comment. You can add a comment in the Toolpath Parameters tab, or the Tools page, depending on the operation type.

Group comments

Displays the machine group comment from the Files tab of the Machine Group Properties dialog box or the Machine page of the Machine Group Setup function panel.

Toolpath file name

Displays the NC file name.

Program number

Displays the program number next to the toolpath icon.

Parameters

Display the word Parameters next to the Parameters icon.

Tool number

Display the tool number next to the Tool icon.

Tool descriptor

Display a description of the tool next to the Tool icon.

Geometry

Select operations in Toolpaths Manager that match the geometry you chose in the graphics window.

Geometry chain count

Display the number of chains in the operation next to the Geometry icon.

Toolpath

Display the word Toolpath next to the Toolpath icon.

Toolpath size

Display the NCI file size next to the Toolpath icon.

Toolpath generation time

Displays the amount of time spent generating an operation.

Select operation

Select the operation when using the up/down arrow keys.

Move insert arrow

Move the red insert arrow when using the up/down arrow keys.

Wireframe

Highlights the wireframe geometry used in the selected toolpath with the chosen color. Enter a number for the color, or use the Color button to select a color.

Machining geometry

Highlights the machining geometry used in the selected toolpath by displaying the geometry in the selected color. Enter a number for the color, or use the Color button to select a color.

Avoidance geometry

Highlights the avoidance geometry used in the selected toolpath by displaying the geometry in the selected color. Enter a number for the color, or use the Color button to select a color.

Prompt for toolpath deletion

Enables a prompt that requires you to confirm any toolpath deletions.
