Renumber Tools dialog box
Use the Renumber Tools dialog box to renumber the tools in the Tool Manager for the current Mastercam file—for example, when reprogramming a job for a different machine tool. At a minimum, you must enter a starting number and increment number.
Tools are renumbered relative to the current order of your operations.
Tools with angled heads will not be able to be renumbered.
Starting tool number
Number assigned to the tool in the first operation.
Tool number increment
Tools used in subsequent operations are numbered incrementally from the starting tool number using this value.
Length offset value to be added to tool number
Can be used by the post processor in place of the tool number to select the control length offset register. This value is added to the resulting tool number.
Diameter offset value to be added to tool number
Can be used by the post processor in place of the tool number to select the control diameter offset register. This value is added to the resulting tool number.
Renumber head number to tool number
When tools are renumbered, the head number (station number in Lathe) is also renumbered. If off, the head number stays the same.
Also renumber tools not used in any operation
Tools found in the list that are not used in any operations will also be incrementally numbered in the order they are stored in the tool list. Clear this checkbox to renumber only the tools used in operations.
