Using the Drafting Functions
You can use the functions on the Drafting tab to add notes, dimensions, labels, and more to your part file. These drafting notes are helpful to measure features on the part or to leave notes in the part file for other users to read.
Dimensions
Use the functions in the Drafting and Ordinate group to create and format drafting dimensions or drafting notes and labels. You can modify the appearance of witness lines, add or remove leader lines, and edit the position, format, type, and alignment. Drafting entities are also associated to the entity they are created on. Refer to the Drafting panel Help topic for more information.
Annotations
Use the functions in the Annotate group to create and format drafting notes and labels. Refer to the Note panel Help topic for more information.
